(Under)statement
Jewelry thrives on the interplay of different materials and textures: matte, shiny, rough, delicate, solid. For me, this works best with recycled silver, pebbles, sea glass
and wood.
Although I enjoy the qiet focus required for filigree pieces, I'm drawn to the process of silver reticulation. In this interplay of heat and metal, I never quite know what will emerge - only that, as molten silver moves and reshapes itself in the flame, something unique takes form.
For everyday jewelry, I work with sandalwood beads, silver and semi-precious stones - with a clear focus on reuse. I source old necklaces from flea markets and carefully upcycle them, giving existing materials a new life
and purpose.
