Rooted in texture

Jewelry thrives on the interplay of different materials and textures: matte, shiny, rough, delicate, solid. For me, this works best with recycled silver, pebbles, sea glass

and wood. Organic jewelry that reflects the textures of Portugal is therefore the focus of my metal work.

 I'm drawn to the process of silver reticulation and lost wax casting. In this interplay of heat and metal, I never quite know what will emerge - only that, as molten silver moves and reshapes itself in the flame, something unique takes form.

For everyday jewelry, I work with sandalwood beads, silver and semi-precious stones - with a clear focus on reuse. I source old necklaces from flea markets and carefully upcycle them, giving existing materials a new life and purpose.
